5 New Things I've Gotten Lately

I’ve been on a quiet wardrobe re-haul lately. Nothing dramatic, just enough to stop dressing for who I was three Aprils ago. The mom-duty drop-off uniform had gone stale, and I was yearning for something to step into summer in.

So I pulled the trigger on a few new pieces. These are the ones I haven’t stopped reaching for… pieces I’d wear from a drop-off to a date. In no particular order.

The Tibi Shorts

Thanks to my pal Lina, I’m officially back on the Tibi train after a multi-year hiatus. I don’t know why I ever stopped wearing Tibi, but boy am I happy that I’ve been pushed back into the brand. It hits just right. I’m wearing the size 0 here in the shorts. You could definitely size down and down again depending on how you want them to hit. I want mine bagging off of me to feel “cool” vs. buttoned up. I’m wearing them with my new striped sweater by (you guessed it) Tibi.

The Slinky Bodysuit

Another brand I’ve been sleeping on is Favorite Daughter and it didn’t hit me until I visited the store a month or two ago in B.Hills. I purchased the Slinky Date Bodysuit and have gotten an incredible amount of wear out of it. It’s one of those “when in doubt” pieces. I just discovered the sleeveless version and the fact that they make it in white as well and now I’m considering more.
