8 Shopbop Sale Picks I’d Recommend to My Bestie
Breaking down the best buys: What to splurge on and what to skip
Let’s just dive in to the nitty gritty. Because I’m sure your feed is being spammed with people telling you what you *need* from the biggest Shopbop Sale of the year, I will only be sharing with you what I would share with my bestie.
From everyday staples to a few new styles I think are perfect for summer, use Code STYLE to save up to 25% off.
And no, this is not sponsored. I do receive a commission off of the links I’m using below, but I’m truly only sharing what I believe is the best of the best (which is why there are only 8 items and not 80).
Let’s dive in…
La Ligne Marin Sweater: Run, don’t walk. I was shocked when I saw this was included in the sale because La Ligne hardly ever goes on sale and certainly not their beloved Marin sweater. Splurge Away! I have worn and loved mine in to the literal ground. I would purchase another one just because it’s on sale I love it so much. I think I may get it in the alternate color. It’s a good one! Not too warm for summer either!
Leset Pointelle Tee: Speaking of sweaters. You know that little pop of sweetness in a pointelle t-shirt that pops out just oh so nice. Insert the Leset tee. It’s hands down one of my favorites. I was questioning why I don’t own more until this morning when I saw it on sale and pulled the trigger on a fresh one.
Janessa Leone Tanner Bag: I have had and loved this bag for several years and stand by the quality and style. It’s a timeless classic and I’m not just saying that beacuse Janessa is one of my dearest friends. This bag has seen some travel and I’ve even carried my laptop in it and it hasn’t gotten stretched out or too worn in. I know it’s a pretty penny, but it’s easily one of my favorites that I cannot suggest enough. While we’re at it, you should splurge on her Felix Bucket Hat during this sale too. I would suggest the black this year just to mix things up a bit!
Skip: Speaking of bags, I love me some Staud and while this bag caught my eye, it’s one of those things I know I’ll look back on and regret.
Playa Lucia Maxi Dress: You guys — do not sleep on this dress. I wore it in Cabo and I’m packing it for Texas this week I love it so much. It’s very flattering for a maxi and the check isn’t too “in your face.” The price tag is very friendly too.
Hunza G One Piece: This is a classic black one piece that I’ve had in my closet for years. It’s super flattering and gives that 90s fit we all want and love without making you feel like a sausage that’s outgrown the casing.
Xirena Caylin Dress: Xirena is one of those brands that outlive others in my closet. While it can be difficult to invest in basics without seeing them in person (to touch and feel) I know 100% that I will love whatever Xirena does. I feel confident in saying to splurge on anything by Xirena. You’re in good hands.
Skip: On the other hand, this Theory dress looked like a good idea in theory (wow that came out naturally), but I tried it on in person and the material is too heavy. I vote “no.”
Jenni Kayne Pleated Skirt: You may have seen me wearing this skirt on social channels lately. I love it so much that I bought it in black and white. Splurge: It’s definitely worth the splurge and this piece will be a year-round staple.
Skip: Something to skip on is the Jenni Kayne Cardigan. That is, unless you don’t mind super long bell sleeves that may dip into your guac this summer. While I really love this sweater, the sleeves are a big issue for me. Plus it’s SUPER warm. Which can be good, but it can also be bad. This sweater a love/hate for me so I’d say skip it.
The Citizens of Humanity Charlotte Jeans: These are easily my most worn, most favorited jeans I’ve ever owned. It’s been years and I continue to grab for these tried, tested and true jeans. Order a size down and you’ll thank me later.
Other Splurge Worthy Items:
This adorable Kule Terry Dress that is perfect for the courts.
A fresh pair of sneakers that feel lighter for summer.
French Ticking Twill Pajamas by Petite Plume that will get you in the mood for your next Netflix binge.
The classic Vincent Dress by Staud that we all need in our closets. It will stand the test of time.
quick question about the jeans! shopbop recommends to size up, but you've mentioned that should size down. Just wanted to make sure that wasn't an error! thanks so much
That dress, such fun picks
