Last week I went to Amangiri with 7 girlfriends for a little spa, wellness, founders retreat getaway. I don’t need to brag about how amazing Amangiri is (or do I?). It’s honestly worth every penny (and it’s definitely a lot of penny’s). But let’s get to the fun part: the clothes.
A lot of you DMed me asking for full packing list, so I thought I’d do a breakdown of what I wore and a few things the girls wore and also what I wish I wore (at the bottom).
***Warning: as much as I am trying to keep “Basic” as basic can be and not have any edited images, these images are filtered using the Tezza app.
I’ll start with the trophy discovery of the trip which was when my friend Meg demanded that I take her new Bond-eye swimsuit for the trip. It’s like Hunza, but oh so much better. The cut, the fit, the everything is oh so perfect. I ordered several more. It feels very 90s J.Crew. Meg is wearing the black version of my red suit below.
Speaking of Meg, who also writes the most stylish Substack here, she wore these linen trousers from Zara all weekend that we were all drooling over. I added to cart immediately.
Outside of my latest obsession with bond-eye, I’ve had a long time love affair with Erés for many years. I’m wearing my black one piece here which I’ve lived in for years. Erés has been part of the Chanel group since 1996, but that isn’t the reason why I love them so much. Pricey? Absolutely. But worth every single penny. These suits have literally lasted me years. Every girl on the trip had one and is in full agreement that they’re the best suits of all time. I’m also wearing the Teagan Janessa Leone hat and also packed my current favorite, the Fallon Bucket. Equally obsessed with both.
Speaking of Janessa Leone, can we talk about how insanely stylish she is? She keeps herself pretty hidden from social media which is such a shame because the girl has such amazing style that I’m constantly wanting to replicate. My most recent purchase as inspired by her in this photo are black Birks. Sold! Add to cart! Be as stylish as the one and only Janessa Leone!
It wouldn’t be a proper trip to the desert without a little Wyeth. I wore our kaftan all day the first day which was the perfect weight in the heat. You have to touch our linen to feel how amazing it is.
I also absolutely loved seeing some of the girls pop out their Wyeth pieces. A few of us showed up to dinner one night in the same Kristen dress and joked that we were at a wedding.
Above is a very easy, easy pop on tunic cover up that I can’t recommend enough. A few other pieces that I packed and wore were:
Drooling over this Bembien bag which would have been perfect for this trip
Found a really great brown suede bag that’s giving Park The Row bag vibes but for far less.
Hourglass Cosmetics make-up brushes are all the rage. Every female I talk to says that they are worth the $$ so I recently ordered this one on Amazon.
I also packed and wore this dress by Doen. It isn’t as bold and bright in person as it is on the website.
My friend Ariel has carried this Khaite Bag on two of our recent trips and I officially ordered it. It looked so good on her and I honestly need it (okay so I don’t really but I just can’t look at it any longer).
We love you
