This year, we split Spring Break right down the middle—one kid, one parent, one week each. I took June to Cabo, and then Hugh and I headed to Montecito. It wasn’t just a logistical win (rare!), it was actually kind of beautiful. Slowing down with one child at a time gave each of us space to connect in a way that’s easy to lose in the shuffle of shared parenting. It’s not always this seamless—but when it works, it really works.
