Do You Have the Sunday Scaries?
A nice distraction of outfits, shopping and a friendly reminder on shopping
After popping up to Montecito this weekend with my baby boy, Hugh, I thought I’d pop in to your inbox with a special Sunday edition.
Typically for free subscribers I do a monthly round-up but there’s been so many fun moments happening lately that I thought I’d share a few updates on what I’ve been wearing and loving. I’m sharing a few of my new favorite outfits below along with a few new purchases.
On my drive back to LA, I made a special visit to the Heidi Merrick store. Heidi is an old friend who I’ve known and loved for over a decade. Her timeless style offers easy to throw-on pieces that make you feel elevated, cool and, well, gorgeous.
I’m basically dressing like summer’s already here. Counting down the days 'til I can live in sandals, SPF, and a good linen moment full-time.

I highly suggest this J.Crew Cabana Dress for summer. It has a removable slip so you can wear it as a dress or a cover-up. As you know, I’ve also been obsessed with my other most recent purchase from J.Crew which is this Khaite bag look for less.
I don’t know why I have such a hard time purchasing pieces that I wear the most (i.e. stripes). I guess it’s because I tell myself I have too many, but then I end up wearing them in to the ground. I landed on this Kule preppy sweater because it’s a bit off the beaten path for stripes and nautical. I absolutely love it.
I also live in my Jamie Haller loafers so I am replenishing with this fresh pair of slippers from her latest collection. I always order a size up. I also ordered and love this Crosby Shirt in Stripe. The cuffs are perfect and I can’t wait to wear it. I love that Jamie Haller is pushing in to ready to wear.
Heidi Merrick can do no wrong. I’ve been dying to pay her store in Carpenteria a visit (worth the trip!). I love, love, love this Bianca swimsuit that you can easily wear with a skirt on vacation. However I ended up purchasing this walnut sleeveless version because I’m trying to set outside of my usual black and white swimsuit rotation.
I also purchased this Artemis Dress which is absolutely stunning on and I cannot wait to wear it soon in Hawaii.
Another new find the past few weeks that I can’t stop throwing on is this classic denim top from Jenni Kayne. Be sure to use my code: JACEY15 for 15% off.
I also posted about these pants on social media but I cannot stress enough that you need these pants for summer. They are absolutely perfect and a nice alternate option from your usual linen.
Things In My Cart:
I saw this dress at Madewell and they didn’t have my size so I jumped on my laptop to order this stat. It’s the perfect thrown on and go for summer and I love the detail. Definitely looks “nicer” than Madewell.
All I wear lately are sneakers so I’m trying to step outside (pun intended) of my usual New Balance and Onitsuka Tiger rotation and have these saved. What do we think?
I really do *need* another black sweater because it’s something I pull for every single damn day. I sound like a broken record but La Ligne is worth it.
Friendly Reminder:
Not that we all need this reminder but just in case: Leave it in the cart. Don’t hit “purchase” right away. As someone who is really striving to invest in quality and more intentional purchases, I do not always stand by this house rule but when I do I almost never have to return an item. Last week I plugged on an impulse purchase I wish I had given it a 24 hour gut check before pulling the trigger. This is just your friendly remind to do that: Pause. Take 24 hours. If you still crave it after careful consideration, then make the purchase!
Have a great week everyone!
Cheers, Jacey
