Let's Talk Quiet Luxury
and a few pieces I'm coveting
I know it costs an arm and a leg but I would feel remiss not to highlight The Row coat that I purchased last year. I rarely post about it on other platforms because it is so and I’ll get too much heat, but for my sartorialists out there, trust me when I say you “need” this.
Don’t stress: I made a super similar version that will be launching on Wyeth this October. So save your savings for my far less pricey version coming soon!
While we’re at it, I also very recently purchased this Toteme Rain Jacket while I was in New York. I’d been eyeing it online for months and when I tried it on I literally walked out of the store with it which is usually my rule for making a new purchase.
Last but not least, I’m saving up for the Park bag by The Row. I know, I know. But I’ve really been buying in to this whole “quiet luxury” thing. I haven’t been carrying any of my louder designer bags, rather only investing in and carrying Bottega Veneta and The Row. I also haven’t even been in to wearing any of my jewelry lately.
Recently, I have really been feeling stripped down, wearing less make-up and making less loud purchases. Not that there is anything quiet about spending $3,800 on a Bottega bag {which I recently did here}, but it doesn’t scream Chanel or Dior in the same way if you know what I mean.
Speaking of The Row, I’ve have really been eyeing The Park Bag.
Should I get it in black or dark brown? Ooh or maybe brown. I’m kinda leaning toward brown. I have the small Park in ivory and I absolutely love it but worry the larger size won’t be great in ivory.
I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want. It’s the Bottega Veneta Cabat Medium which is such an insane purchase that I’ve been debating for years. I don’t have the bandwidth (LOL at myself) to purchase it right now. If I were smart, I would put myself on a spending freeze from buying anything and everything and save up for several months. But I’m not smart and I’ll keep drooling over it until I finally make the impulse purchase one day that will inevitably give me a big purchase hangover the following day.
I really like you guys on here. It feels like what my blog used to feel like when I started it back in 2011. This feels like a more raw, honest and safe space for friends to connect over their love of fashion.
Thank you for being here and sharing this space with me.

I was going to say brown! Maybe because I’m imagining it with that toteme rain jacket. Also saw one this morning in black on RealReal- hope you snagged it Nina!
Loving the quiet luxury vibe and especially loving that it CAN be fairly inexpensive to pull off. It's grounded in "fewer finer" and I'd argue that 12 GOOD pieces can cost a lot less than some people can spend at the mall over the course of a year. I also love that you can wear neutrals from Target or Wal Mart, throw on a Cartier watch and look like CBK herself. PS: get the Bottega, pls. she's gorg.
