In lieu of an outfits linked post this Sunday, I thought I’d switch it up a bit and offer my London packing list. It’s been years since I’ve been to London and I couldn’t be more excited to return to the city this week.
I’ll only be there for a quick 4 night stay before heading to France, so I’m really focused on building a capsule packing list that is versatile and works well together. I own every piece in the below collage and I’m going to break down how and why I wear and love these items.
St. Agni Dress: I recently purchased this dress after I owned the top version. It is a very nice and flattering fit and I can’t wait to wear it. I took a size medium because I hate when things hug me too much. I love this dress because you could wear a chunky knit over and hide the open back, OR if you are out and about feeling frisky you can wear it as is. It pairs well with strappy flat sandals and a jacket to dress it down, or it can be dolled up with heels, hair tossed back and a clutch for a dressier vibe. Definitely a great bang for the buck.
Simkhai Cardigan: This cardigan was sent to me as a gift and I’m currently wearing it as I write you this post in my khaki pants and tank. This is one of those versatile and cozy pieces that could be worn with a slip dress or skirt and also with jeans. It’s SUPER soft and I plan on packing this to cozy up in on the flight and if there’s a chill in the air at night.
High Sport Top and High Sport Pant: A clear winging combo in my book that I’ve owned for many months and already gotten so much wear out of. When in doubt, I grab for this set because it feels very put together and makes me feel great no matter what the circumstances are. The top and pant can be mixed with all sorts of pieces. I know the pants are very pricey, but I promise they’re worth the investment. Hands down the best fitting black pants I’ve ever owned. You can always order and return if you aren’t feeling that they are worth the investment. I take a size small.
Almada the Label CoCo Cardigan: This is definitely a hero piece in my closet currently. I love and wear my cardigans so much that I own three, yes three, different colors in the same style (black, gray and black). It’s pretty warm so I warn you that you may want a tank or t-shirt under. A lot of times I’ll just wear this cardigan with a lace bra under and leave a few buttons undone for a night out and about.
Rag & Bone Sandals: I posted about this “IT” sandal for summer a bit ago and it’s 100% making the packing list for my trip. They go with everything and I don’t feel bad wearing them out to dinner. Even though I fully plan on wearing these more in the second portion of our trip to the South of France, I think they’d make for an excellent addition for travels that take you to London. They’re good for a more casual dinner al fresco. I wouldn’t walk a mile in them though. The ankle strap will start to rub you raw.
Hunting Season Clutch: I’ve been a fan of Hunting Season for many years ever since I first saw them show in Paris. These high quality bags really do stand the test of time. This clutch feels so elegant and lifts ups any look. I wear it with jeans and a t-shirt but I’ll also pair it with a dress. It literally goes with everything.
Jimmy Choo Sling Backs: Another hero piece in my closet this summer that I love so much I’ve purchased them in two color (black and tan). They are such a classic easy heel but not too “heel” for this summer. I’ve been wearing mine nonstop with jeans, dresses and more.
Blaze Milano Blazer: This was one of those investments I was a bit weary on but I’m so happy I bit the bullet. I’ve gotten so much wear out of this piece from New York to LA with jeans, slacks. It doesn’t particularly go well with dresses in my opinion but it’s a strong staple with jeans.
Nili Lotan Jeans: Speaking of jeans, these have been a trophy pair of the season. Every time I wear them I get a lot of compliments and they feel very on trend but very “me.” I’ve worn them on tourist days through Tokyo with ballet flats and dressed up with my Jimmy Choo’s for nights out and about. They’ll be the only pair of jeans I pack for the trip.
Longchamp Le Pliage Tote: Last but definitely not least is the classic Longchamp tote that’s made quite a nice comeback this year. Longchamp has always been in style but lately it feels extra cool and classic without breaking the bank.
oooooow I like these!!! Thank you! It wasn't meant to be "passive". It was a genuine question because I saw there were questions from 4 days ago, and I thought maybe you just answered paying subscribers. I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to find these, and I hope you have a fantastic trip in Europe!!
Really happy to see the Longchamp bags resurfacing. 🖤
