Somewhere along the way of separating from my 16-year-long relationship, selling our house together, dismantling a coexistence and transitioning into co-parenting, dissolving my relationship with the fashion brand that I founded, and completely uprooting my life over the past two years, I learned a thing or two about adjustments.
Ha. I just re-read that sentence and, honestly, I feel kind of proud of how far I’ve come. Wow. That’s a lot
These quiet adjustments aren’t the dramatic kind or the reinvention stories that come with new haircuts and big announcements (although I did buy myself a vintage car). I am talking about the smaller, unspoken shifts. The ones that happen in the in-between. The ones that don’t look like much from the outside but feel like everything on the inside.
Speaking of adjustments, the past two weeks we have split the kids up for June’s spring break. I’ll be following up soon on how we’ve managed and are liking the divide and conquer model.
